The Second World War termination in 1945 was marked by clearing of Korea of Japanese board that has led to country division on 38 parallels. The Korean war (1950-1953y.) lasted three years during which the country has been completely destroyed and has come to full decline. During this time manufacture of the Korean cinema has been suspended and some more years for its returning were required.

As already it was mention above, the author, referring to the standard per iodization of cinema in South Korea, will try to study in detail formation and film industry development for what the cinema history also will  divided on some basic periods:

  - The period of clearing and the Korean war (1945-1955)

  - The gold period (1955-1973)

  - The period of "government Restoration" (1973-1979)

  - The period of restoration (1980-1996)

  - The period of technical achievements

  - Festival success

  - Films of a new wave

There are three basic periods of a new wave of the Korean cinema. The first period is a 1992 when the film "Wedding history" ("Marriage Story") has been let out. For the first, time the cinema financed not by the government, and a large private conglomerate "Samsungom". Further already aforementioned film of "Breadth" published in 1999 and, at last, 2001 a film "My impudent girl" became the most popular export film in the history of the Korean film industry. Each picture has added new forces for creation of unique Korean film production, which is not copy any more from Hollywood.

  Powerful governmental support of the Korean film production, complete control over a piracy and illegal distribution, have allowed to make enough of qualitative and professional films, and also to get profit on their sales. Directors of a new wave of the Korean gangster movies are trained in the USA, France, Spain, the Netherlands, China and other countries, create scenarios about modern Korean life, invite young actors, depart from stereotypes of the Hollywood cliché and time 90-minute frameworks. Influence of Film festivals in Pusan and Chonchzhu has led to novelty in the basic templates of the world film industry.

  Now the Korean gangster movies can be characterized as in a new fashion conceptual though it, certainly, and has not avoided influence of modern western culture. Nowadays the South Korean cinema becomes known thanks to the singularity, not mastered, originality, originality, which exists thanks to the talented directors, aspiring to keep, own uniqueness, to find new decisions in traditional monotony of plots and in various artistic touches. Therefore the pictures made on the western models, becomes ever less that is rather positive factor.
