Well here's a list of 10 of the classic gangster movies you might want to check out. You'll surely have a blast watching these (especially if you're a guy oozing with machismo). So here they are:

High Sierra

This classic movie stars Bogart as a newly discharged ex-convict who unfortunately gets himself entangled in an illegal casino operations. This movie will surely give you the thrill as it features a very stirring and pulse quickening shoot out scene ever seen on the silver screen. And we have Walsh, their action and stunt director, to thank for that.

White Heat

If you're looking for a rousing and a terrifying psychological thriller then White Heat is just the classic gangster movie for you. The movie stars James Cagney as a horrifying psychotic. He did such a great job that you would even think he was a true mad man in real life. But no, it's just great acting. Though if you ask me, he was a bit old for this genre when he did the movie. But hey, as long as it gets me by during boring weekend afternoons, I couldn't care less.

Some Like It Hot

Now this one is seriously, I mean seriously a hilarious and classic movie about gangsters. Though comedic most of the time, Some Like It Hot is able to grasp the true meaning and the true spirit of what a classic gangster movie should be. And it not only gives you good laugh but it also injects the necessary thrill and suspense on scenes that appropriately need it. That's why it comes off as a perfect gangster-themed movie.

Angels with Dirty Faces

A persistent theme that you often see in fiction, particularly this genre, is the impression that for men who live in the upper levels of economic echelons, there are only two available (albeit impossible) ways how to live your life: become a felon; law breaker or a God's man; a priest. Angels with dirty faces presents and explores this impression and gives you a good view of the two sides of the coin. This is probably one of the best and most riveting gangster themed movies ever created that is truly worth watching.
